3M™ Stikit™ Paper 210U features aluminum oxide mineral on an A-weight paper backing. Among all minerals and backings, this combination tends to be gentler and softer – rendering it a great abrasive for light sanding on metal, primer, paint, fiberglass, wood and plastics, as well as finishing on paint primer and carbon steel.
3M™ Stikit™ Paper 210U comes ready to use with a pressure-sensitive adhesive coating on the back of the abrasive. Simply apply pressure to adhere the paper to a backup pad or hand pad
Designed for Light-Duty Applications
3M™ Stikit™ Paper 210U has the responsive qualities that industrial professionals look for when working on sensitive substrates like primer and paint. Still cutting effectively, this abrasive was designed with finesse in mind. When it comes to serving an important purpose, light A-weight paper abrasives carry as much weight as heavy ones.
3M™ Stikit™ Paper 210U is made with aluminum oxide mineral, a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its cut-rate and long life. This mineral is a tough and self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges in use, whereas traditional minerals, such as garnet, quickly wear down with use. Due to its high cut-rate, hardness, strength and low heat retention, aluminum oxide mineral is widely used in sanding and finishing. While strong, it tends to leave a soft, fine scratch pattern.
Armed with an A-weight paper backing, 3M™ Stikit™ Paper 210U is airy and lightweight, which helps minimize the risk of gouging or marring the substrate. Mineral is adhered to this backing with a resin bond that dissolves gradually to help with heat resistance. The abrasive features an open coat construction, which means tiny gaps between the mineral exist. These gaps permit dust to escape, which is critical for substrates that tend to yield a lot of debris. Open coat construction minimizes dust on the abrasive and workpiece and helps prevent debris from clogging or dulling the mineral, so it keeps cutting effectively.
3M™ Stikit™ System for Easy Tool Attachment
3M™ Stikit™ Paper 210U comes ready to use with a pressure-sensitive adhesive coating on the back of the abrasive. Much like a sticker, operators simply need to apply pressure to adhere the paper to a backup pad or hand pad. For convenience and ease of use, Stikit™ products remove cleanly, leaving an uncontaminated surface for the next abrasive.
From marine to metalworking and transportation to composite, 3M™ Stikit™ Paper 210U is used across industries. When tasked with final sanding or finishing, this abrasive strikes a balance between softness and strength, helping deliver the finish industrial professionals require.
