The challenge of installation in tight spaces can be solved with the 3M™ Cold Shrink QS4 Integrated Splice Kit’s shorter parking space.

Utilizing our field-proven 3M™ Cold Shrink QS-III Splice, and fewer components, the installation process is simplified and specifically designed for the rigors of the IEEE electrical system.

Our splices maintain an tight seal that expands and contracts with variations in temperature and electrical load on the cable, without loss of pressure.

Just unwind and go
Unlike heat shrink splices, there's no need for a high-heat source which can damage the splice, just unwind the inner core

More forgiving installation
The cold shrink splice body is designed to help minimize installation errors by allowing for greater mispositioning errors or mistakes in insulation length removal, compared to push-on splices

1. Easy-Pulling Installation Core
The easier-unwinding, smoothedged yellow core provides for an installation of the splice with less effort.

2. Efficient Rejacketing
The 3M Cold Shrink QS4 Splice’s integrated rejacketing eliminates additional core and reduces the overall parking space required during installation. Easy sliders eliminate grease and provide a smooth install.

3. Customizable Grounding
Configurations of the splice come with a factory-installed ground braid that can be customized for specific application needs or work practices, helping reduce field preparation time.

4. Smooth-Edged Shielding
The smooth-edged shield sock means virtually no fraying or sharp edges to deal with during installation.

Additional Features
The sock is short circuit tested for 10 cycles at 40kA.

The sock is equivalent to a 1/6 neutral on a 1000 kcmil cable or a 1/3 neutral on a 750 kcmil cable.
