3M™ Automotive Window Film Crystalline™ Series features multilayer optical film and ceramic nano-technology that rejects more heat than many darker films without changing the cars appearance. Crystalline Series allows you to have a lighter tint and still reject high amounts of heat - the highest of all 3M films.

Terms to know

  • TSER — Total Solar Energy Rejection
    The percentage of total solar energy rejected by filmed glass. The higher this value, the less solar heat is transmitted.

    VLT — Visible Light Transmitted
    The percentage of visible light that passes directly through filmed glass: the higher the number, the lighter the film.

    Ultraviolet Rejection
    The percentage of ultraviolet (UV) light that is rejected by the filmed glass.

  • IRER — Infrared Energy Rejection
    The percent of solar infrared energy rejection over the wavelength range from 780–2,500 nm. IRER accounts for the transmitted and absorbed IR energy that will be reradiated into a car.

    IRR — Infrared Rejection
    The percentage of solar infrared energy rejection over the wavelength range from 900–1,000 nm.

    Glare Reduction
    The percentage by which visible light is reduced by the addition of film.

After thirty (30) days, you may clean 3M™ Films using commercially available neutral glass cleaners that are non-abrasive, including ammonia-based products: and a soft, lint-free cloth or towel. You may also use a squeegee to clean the films. Abrasive products which would scratch or damage the film should not be used.
