Do I need an account to make a purchase?

The Distributor does not currently have the item in stock and will need to order it from 3M. Shipping time is not known.

This is a credit hold on your account, it is not a charge or a bill. Your card will not be charged until the product ships.

What methods of payment are accepted?
All orders should be paid for with a credit card (VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Discover). You can add your credit card to your account by signing up, which will make future purchases more convenient.

How do I obtain a receipt?
Go to the Order Details page and there will be a link to download your receipt or go to your Shipping confirmation email and follow the instructions

If I upload a tax exemption certificate, how long will it take to process and when can I use it?
After you upload a tax exemption certificate, you can get one transaction tax-free while our team verifies the certificate (1-2 business days to verify)

If I forget to add the tax exemption certificate after I place an order, can I add it and get refunded for the taxes?
Yes, create an account first and then contact 3M at 1-800-538-5500 to submit the forms to the customer service representative.

Can I expedite shipping after I’ve placed my order?
Check your Order Details page to see if the order has shipped. If not, send a Message to the Distributor from the Order Details page to see if they will expedite it (this is at their discretion).

How do I initiate a return?
Go to the Order Details page and click on the Initiate Incident/Return and follow the instructions. Video tutorial: Initiating a return.

Can I return a product if I do not have an account?
Yes. You will need to click on the link located in your order confirmation email to get to the Marketplace login page. Enter your email address and the order number to get to the Order Details page. Click on Initiate Incident/Return and follow the instructions.

Are shipping charges refunded for returns?
Shipping charges are not refunded unless it is due to an issue created by the Distributor

The item will need to be returned and a new order placed

How do I send a message to the Distributor?

How do I cancel an order or a portion of my order?
Go to your Order Details page and select Cancel product. If the product is in the Shipping status, the product is on the way and it cannot be cancelled. You will need to wait until you receive the product and then return it.

How do I report an item missing from my order?

My order was cancelled but I didn’t do it. Why?
Your credit card company may have declined the transaction and you will need to follow up with them prior to placing a new order. The distributors can also cancel an order due to issues with inventory or shipping.
