Individuals participating in oil spill related activities face a range of work-related hazards. The need for personal protective equipment (PPE) for clean-up and remediation activities is essential. This requirement applies not only to the professional worker, but to volunteers who may be used to help in clean-up activities. PPE products could include respiratory protection, head/eye/face protection products, personal air monitors, and heat stress monitors. Consult with your on-site Industrial Hygienist or Safety Manager to determine the type of PPE needed
