When to replace a 3M foodservice water filter cartridge

  • Example of product label calling out the capacity and replacement frequency recommendation.

There are three main things to keep in mind on when to change your filter:

    1. Timeline guidance
Overall cartridge interval change out timelines (6 or 12 months for most 3M filters)

    2. Capacity
Capacity rating (gallon lifetime rating if applicable)

    3. Visual cues
Machine residue forms or returns, reduced beverage output flow rate, low pressure reading if gauge present

See the photo on the right to find capacity and replacement interval guidance on your product label. Replace your 3M foodservice water filter cartridge every 6 or 12 months, at the rated capacity, or sooner if a noticeable reduction in flow occurs.

The cost of not replacing your water filters
