Laura Nereng believes that, in the future, society can continue to function in a better place. It’s a belief rooted in a love for science that stretches as far back as she can remember. Now, at 3M, Laura is focusing that passion on using data to solve for issues on a global scale.
Brandon Bartling has a passion for bringing electricity to smaller, developing nations and villages. “These areas can run on solar panels and wind mills – but at night when children are trying to do homework, they don’t have any light,” says Brandon. “The problem is, you need electricity when the wind is not blowing or when it’s dark out.”
Matthew Swift says school kids used to say his team’s solar car looked like a boat or a spaceship. He and his teammates at don’t get that comment anymore – not since introducing Penumbra.
