3M™ 5451A Series Molded Rubber QS-II Splice Kit is a 25/28 kV class inline splice designed to join jacketed concentric neutral (JCN) and concentric neutral (CN) distribution class power cables. The splice can be used with special CI-series inline compression connectors to connect aluminum or copper conductors. The 1-piece design of the splice ensures a simple installation.

3M™ 5451A Series Molded Rubber QS-II Splice Kit includes 2 packets of silicone grease, a molded rubber splice body, template and an instruction sheet. Its peroxide-cured EPDM rubber construction provides long-term elastic memory while direct contact between insulation shields offers complete shield continuity between the splice and cable. The continuous current rating of each splice is the same as the current rating of the cable that it is sized to accommodate. It is perfect for inline splicing, direct burial installations, aerial installations and submerged locations. The kit meets the requirements of IEEE 404 standards.
