3M™ Nextel™ Tape AP-18 is woven from Nextel™ 312 Grade continuous filament ceramic yarn that is designed to maintain strength and flexibility at high temperatures. This product is ideal for insulating or protecting tubes, pipes (or other structures that can be wrapped) in high temperature applications.
3M™ Nextel™ Tape AP-18 is designed to meet the toughest thermal, mechanical and electrical performance requirements for applications that require a narrow, edge stable woven product. Nextel™ 312 fiber has properties that allow these products to outperform the useful limits of many other high temperature textiles. This is possible because 3M™ Nextel 312 is inherently oxidation resistant, light weight, electrically insulating and flexible. When it comes to different dimensions, users can choose from a standard widths of 1, 1 and ½ and 2 inches – as well as custom sizes that may be available upon request.
