3M™ Adhesive Transfer Tape Double Linered 9553 features 3M™ Adhesive 220 applied to two 4.2 mil 58 lb. polycoated kraft paper liners, which make die cutting and processing faster and more efficient. This tape is the double coated version of 3M™ Adhesive Transfer Tape Double Linered 9555.
Good Peel adhesion to High Surface Energy (HSE) Materials
Featuring a thick 5.0 mil adhesive and durable twin PCK liners, our 3M™ Adhesive Transfer Tape Double Linered 9553 offers efficiency and ease of use to a range of general industrial joining jobs. It features 3M™ Adhesive 220, which is formulated for good initial adhesion to metal and HSE plastics as well as UV, chemical and humidity resistance. The thicker adhesive helps improve wet-out and adhesion on textured surfaces.

Broad Service Temperature Range
3M™ Adhesive Transfer Tape Double Linered 9553 has a minimum application temperature of 50°F/10°C, but a wider range of use once applied. After application, this tape can withstand lows of -40°F/-40°C and highs of 350°F/176.6°C.
Understanding Adhesive Transfer Tapes
Adhesive transfer tapes are rolls of pressure sensitive adhesive pre-applied to a special release liner. For application, the tape is simply pressed, adhesive side down, to a surface and the liner is peeled off. A variety of adhesive properties and liners are available to meet requirements for applications such as nameplate attachment to high and low surface energy plastics, appliance graphic overlays that perform in high temperatures, foam gasketing, web splicing, signs, posters, banners, point-of-purchase displays and more.
