3M™ Air and Vapor Through Wall Flashing Tape 3015TWF is specially designed for use as a through wall flashing and dampproof course. Features exceptional puncture and abrasion resistance. It is an impermeable polyethylene membrane with an aggressive, high-tack acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive that does not require the use of a primer on most construction surfaces.
Provides both Cold and Hot Temperature Adhesion to Most Surfaces
3M™ Air and Vapor Through Wall Flashing Tape 3015TWF is an innovative, proprietary, black tape that uses non-asphaltic-based adhesives. This tape permits an extended application temperature range between 0°F to 150°F (-18°C to 66°C) and a service temperature range from -40°F to 240°F (-40°C to 116°C). These increased temperature ranges can reduce or eliminate cold-weather related delays, extending the construction season in cold climates and enabling year-round construction in moderate zones.
Recommended Applications
Offers Excellent Adhesion without the Use of a Primer
Our 3M™ Air and Vapor Through Wall Flashing Tape 3015TWF does not require primer for most substrates, decreasing the number of products required on the job site and increasing worker productivity. It can withstand up to 24 months of direct UV exposure, giving it the integrity needed for long-running construction projects. The engineered sheet membrane conforms to contours for continuous bonded contact. Meets the criteria to contribute to LEED credits.
Compatible with a Variety of Construction Materials
3M™ Air and Vapor Through Wall Flashing Tape 3015TWF is lighter weight than competitive products, helping reduce worker strain during installation. This flashing can be applied horizontally or vertically with 2 inch overlapping seams. It is compatible with a variety of construction materials such as gypsum, plywood, OSB, cement board, concrete, CMU, mortar joints and a variety of sealants. This through wall flashing can be easily applied over transition materials and overlapping joints to seal exterior envelopes in areas where the vapor barrier cannot be easily joined.
