3M™ Bird Rinse with 400 mL Buffered Peptone Water Broth is a ready-to-use, leak-resistant, wide-mouth plastic container pre-filled with 400 mL of Buffered Peptone Water Broth.

It has a screw-tight lid that provides a leak-resistant seal for safe shipping and handling. An effective "Lift 'n' Peel™" liner provides visible confirmation that the product has not been tampered prior to sample collection. The container's wide-mouth opening allows fast and easy sample transfer, prevents spillage, and the screw-tight lid tightens securely to provide leak-resistant security, making this sampling container ideal for collecting, adding, and safely shipping carcass rinse samples for testing. The tough, polyethylene container provides glass-like clarity, is lightweight yet strong to guard against breakage during transfer, shipping, and handling. The chemically inert material does not react with the contents or impact sample integrity. Buffered Peptone Water Broth is an ideal diluent for food, beverage, and environmental samples and is a cost-effective alternative to mixing in-house. When used in conjunction with bird or turkey rinse bags from 3M, this solution is ideal for testing poultry for the presence of Salmonella. The solution is decontaminated through gamma irradiation to maintain organism viability and long shelf life. This product is made in the USA and is ISO 9001:2008 certified for quality assurance. It is intended for lab use only. Buffered Peptone Water Broth is used as a diluent or for non selective enrichment of microorganisms such as Salmonella species or E. coli from foods and environmental samples prior to selective enrichment and isolation. Microorganisms that may be present in a food product can be sub-lethally injured by food processing techniques and may not be recovered by direct selection techniques. Buffered Peptone Water Broth promotes the recovery of those microorganisms that may be injured.
