  • Moisture-resistant foam
  • Compatible with the 3M™ E-A-Rfit™ Validation System
  • Dispenser packaging option available for uncorded earplugs

  • *U.S. EPA specifies the NRR as the measure of hearing protector noise reduction. However, 3M makes no warranties as to the suitability of the NRR for this purpose. 3M strongly recommends personal fit testing of hearing protectors. Research suggests that users may receive less noise reduction than indicated by the attenuation label value(s) on the packaging due to variation in fit, fitting skill, and motivation of the user. Refer to applicable regulations or guidance on how to adjust attenuation label values. It is recommended that the NRR be reduced by 50% to better estimate typical protection
  • Pillow pack option for storage of earplugs between uses

3M™ E-A-R™ Classic™ Earplugs have set the industry standard for noise reduction as the world's first foam earplugs. These earplugs are made of a proprietary soft energy-absorbing slow-recovery foam that's designed to conform to the shape of the ear canal to help provide hearing protection.

Still one of the most widely used foam earplugs today, the 3M E-A-R Classic earplug is an economical, reliable choice in hearing protection and conservation. Slow recovery, low-pressure foam conforms to the shape of the earcanal to help create a comfortable, snug noise barrier.

  • Pulpable paper packaging is ideal for pulp and paper industries.
  • Flame-resistant and moisture-resistant
  • Noise Reduction Rating (NRR)*: 29 dB. CSA Class AL.
  • Test compatible with 3M E-A-Rfit Validation System.

*The NRR may overestimate the hearing protection provided during typical use. 3M recommends reducing the NRR by 50% for estimating the amount of noise reduction provided.

3M is Leading the Advancement of Hearing Conservation.
