3M™ Encapsulated Holder is pivoted to the horizontal position for ergonomic loading and unloading at waist height and to the vertical position for filtration. This means operators do not have to lift capsules above their heads, and it reduces the risk of exposure to fluid when handling used capsules as well as drastically reduces the time it takes to change out filter cartridges.

We preserved the vertical flow path design in our 3M™ Encapsulated Holder that has been proven effective for depth filtration Zeta Plus(TM) depth filters, polishing with 3M™ Polisher ST and chromatographic clarification with 3M(TM) Emphaze AEX Hybrid Purifier and 3M™ Harvest RC.

When faced with the challenges of filtration and purification for the bioprocessing industry, whether for upstream cell culture clarification or downstream impurity removal, the 3M Encapsulated Holder meets these challenges with an ergonomic, compact assembly. The 3M Encapsulated Holder consists of two configurations; a pilot system that is ideal for scale‐up studies and small scale operation, and a production system that is designed for large production scale biomanufacturing.

The 3M™ Encapsulated Holder has a built‐in torque limiter that will signal that the assembly is properly sealed. The 3M™ Encapsulated Holder's ergonomically designed hardware that pivots between horizontal and vertical positions allows for fast and convenient loading and unloading at waist height, effective utilization of the filter media, minimal fluid spills during unloading, and a smaller footprint during filtration and storage.

The Encapsulated System Holders accomodate translucent polycarbonate plastic shells allowing detection of the liquid level for real time monitoring of the filtration process and Polyphenylene Oxide shells allowing sterilization and sanitization. We offer our customers multiple configuration of the 3M™ Encapsulated System Holder that can be used with a variety of different capsules containing a range of performance from upstream processing to downstream processing. These filter media including upstream technologies such as the Zeta Plus depth filter, Emphaze AEX Hybrid Purifier, and Harvest RC in addition to downstream processing technologies such as the Polisher ST.

Scalability
