3M™ Attest™ Vaporized Hydrogen Peroxide Tri-Metric Chemical Indicator

Products
  • The first FDA cleared CI for VH2O2 sterilization categorized by the FDA as a multivariable CI for chemical vapor sterilization that independently monitors the three critical variables of time, temperature and VH2O2 concentration.
  • Detects failed VH2O2 sterilization cycles more accurately than any other CI tested.*
  • The most color stable of all VH2O2 CIs tested*- won’t change color before sterilization under ambient light.
  • Consistent blue-toward-pink color change for all 3M chemical indicators for vaporized hydrogen peroxide.

  • Easy-to-read “accept” and "reject" zones.
  • *Competitive Type 1 and Type 4 VH2O2 CIs

The 3M™ Attest™ Vaporized Hydrogen Peroxide Tri-Metric Chemical Indicator 1348/1348E verifies that the stated values for the three critical parameters of exposure time, temperature, and amount of vaporized hydrogen peroxide have been achieved within a package or containment device (i.e. wrapped trays, rigid containers, sterilization pouches, and other types of packs) and/or at a specific location within the load or empty chamber. Upon exposure to vaporized hydrogen peroxide, the color of the coated indicator strip progressively changes from blue toward pink along the strip. The progression of the blue to pink color change along the strip is visible through a window with marked “REJECT” and “ACCEPT” zones. The extent of the progression depends on exposure time, temperature, and amount of vaporized hydrogen peroxide.

The 3M™ Attest™ Vaporized Hydrogen Peroxide Tri-Metric Chemical Indicator 1348/1348E is a Type 4 indicator as categorized by ISO 11140-1:2014.  The 3M™ Attest™ Tri-Metric 1348/1348E CI is the first and only CI in the FDA’s newly-created multivariable indicator category for chemical vapor sterilization, as it independently verifies that the stated values of the three critical parameters of exposure time, temperature, and concentration of vaporized hydrogen peroxide have been met.
