It is a high-temperature perfluoroelastomer crumb and curative kit, containing two 1 kg bags of 3M™ Dyneon™ Translucent Perfluoroelastomer PFE 301TZ and one 25 g bottle of 3M™ Dyneon™ PFE 301C catalyst, designed for producing translucent parts.
Packaged for Easy Cleanroom Handling
3M™ Dyneon™ Translucent Perfluoroelastomer System PFE 301Z is an advanced perfluoroelastomer system that incorporates polymer and catalyst technologies. For best results and to reduce chances for contamination, dedicated mixing, extrusion and molding equipment in a cleanroom environment is recommended for processing this material. To help achieve that goal, PFE 301Z comes in smaller, easy-to-store packages that make cleanroom handling easier. The packages contain proportionate polymer and catalyst to further simplify the mixing process and help save time and increase throughput.
Due to the nature of the perfluoroelastomer materials, Dyneon translucent perfluoroelastomer system PFE 301Z is best suited for open-mill mixing techniques. PFE 301Z, like most perfluoroelastomers, builds heat rapidly during mixing. For best results, we recommend that roll temperature is controlled between 20-30°C (70-90°F).
Designed for Extreme Environments
Dyneon translucent perfluoroelastomer system PFE 301Z is a high-temperature kit with excellent temperature resistance, optimizing performance in extreme environments. It is formulated to withstand continuous, in-service temperatures up to 300°C with peaks up to 350°C.
In addition to this extreme-environment capability, PFE 301Z compounds are very easy to extrude and show excellent moldability. The recommended molding temperature range is 155-165°C (311-330°F). At this temperature, the material exhibits good flow behavior with excellent mold release.
