3M™ Dyneon™ Fluoroelastomer FC 2210 is an ultra-low viscosity copolymer of vinylidene fluoride and hexafluoropropylene containing 66% fluorine. This fluoroelastomer (FKM) is used in transfer and injection molding, extrusion, calendering and coatings. It does not feature an incorporated curative, but is curable with amine or bisphenol-type curing agents.
A Versatile FKM
3M™ Dyneon™ Fluoroelastomer FC 2210 has a number of attributes that make it suitable for injection and transfer molding, extrusion, calendering and coatings. It can be blended into other fluoroelastomers to modify viscosity or act as a process aid. Dyneon fluoroelastomer FC 2210 can be incorporated into other FKM polymers using standard water-cooled internal mixers or two-roll mills with standard fillers and ingredients utilized in typical fluoroelastomer applications.
