3M™ Dyneon™ Fluoroplastic Granules THV 505ESDZ is an electrostatic dissipative (ESD) grade primarily designed for the interior layer of multi-layer fuel hoses. This flexible, fuel permeation-resistant fluoroplastic is characterized by its well-balanced profile of ESD properties, thermal stability, and melt processability. It is designed for extrusion and molding processes.
Properties and Applications
3M™ Dyneon™ Fluoroplastic Granules THV 505ESDZ is designed for use as an interior layer of multi-layer fuel hoses, as it is a highly flexible ESD fluoroplastic grade. It provides a balance of very good permeation resistance to hydrocarbon fuels and other chemicals, thermal stability, and melt processability. 3M™ Dyneon™ THVs exhibit excellent flexibility relative to other fluorothermoplastics; Dyneon THV 505ESDZ is a mid-range resin that has good flexibility, plus slightly better chemical, solvent and temperature resistance compared to 3M™ Dyneon™ Fluoroplastic Granules THV 221GZ.
Dyneon THV 505ESDZ has the ability to bond to itself, as well as elastomers and olefinic plastics. It can also be extruded into sheets and tubes or molded into articles requiring flexibility and flame resistance.
