3M™ Dyneon™ Fluoroplastic Dispersion THV 340Z is a fluoroplastic aqueous dispersion designed for use as a coating or coating formulation component in a potentially wide range of applications. Belonging to the THV polymer class, this dispersion can be used to create a wide variety of coated finished products.
Properties and Applications
3M™ Dyneon™ Fluoroplastic Dispersion THV 340Z is mainly used to formulate coatings for flat substrates, or fibers, yarns or fabrics for use in harsh environments to protect against thermal, chemical or weathering attack. Because of its low melting point compared to other fluoropolymers, Dyneon fluoroplastic dispersion THV 340Z can be used for coating of known fluoropolymer-compatible substrates such as glass, aramid fabrics or films of PA and PI, and also for the coating of temperature-sensitive substrates such as PET, PE or PP. After a Dyneon THV 340Z coating is created and dried, a thermal step is required in order to create a sintered continuous layer.
