3M™ Dyneon™ PTFE TF 1750 is a non-free flowing powder grade polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) that’s ideal for compression molding applications such as large billet molding and production of very thin skived film. Molded parts made with TF 1750 offers broad chemical resistance and an excellent operating temperature range.
PTFE: An Indispensable Problem Solver
Polytetrafluoroethylene – commonly known as PTFE – is used as indispensable problem solver. It’s commonly used in a broad variety of challenging applications from harsh industrial environments to architectural elements. 3M™ Dyneon™ PTFE is selected for its technical excellence and reliability. Our 3M™ Dyneon™ PTFE TF 1750 is a non-free-flowing compression molding powder for applications such as shaped parts, molded cylinders, skived films greater than 20 µm, sheets and gaskets – and is suitable as a base resin for PTFE compound production. This versatile product has a very small particle size, good electrical and mechanical properties and low molding pressure.
Fluorine Makes the Difference
Quite simply, fluorine makes the difference. Fluoropolymers like Dyneon PTFE TF 1750 are outstanding materials, created by the presence and dominance of fluorine. Fluorine imparts special properties to fluoropolymers that make the difference for the polymer and the application. Like many of our PTFE products, the presence of fluorine gives Dyneon PTFE TF 1750 broad chemical resistance and an excellent operating temperature range. This PTFE meets ASTM D4894 Type II.
