3M™ Paper Belt 763U is designed for stroke sanding on mild or stainless steel. Since finishing steel parts can be a laborious and time-intensive process, it's helpful to have an abrasive that cuts aggressively. Our belt combines 3M™ Ceramic Abrasive Grain and an F-weight backing to strike a balance between strength and finesse.

Designed for Stroke Sanding
Stroke sanding brings industrial professionals one step closer to polishing and refining metal. But the right combination of abrasive mineral and backing is required to make the process truly effective. We chose a unique blend of 3M™ Ceramic Abrasive Grain and aluminum oxide mineral for 3M™ Paper Belt 763U. 3M™ Ceramic Abrasive Grain cuts fast and reduces heat. Both of these attributes are desirable when and refining heat-sensitive metals like mild and stainless steel. 3M™ Paper Belt 763U also features a heavy, F-weight paper backing, which makes the abrasive more durable and strong.
