Extra Fine and Indispensable
Few shops can do without abrasives in handy sheet form, and our 3M™ Paper Sheet 210U is built to be indispensable. Available in multiple grades, the flexible A-weight paper backing supports a light scratch and smooth finish.
In standard and make-to-order forms, this sheet is easily resized for a multitude of tasks or folded to reach critical surfaces, corners and recesses.
Prep for a New Coat of Paint
A good value, general purpose abrasive, the bright gold 210U is especially valuable for prepping metal prior to paint and defect repair and leveling. It is effective on a wide variety of substrates -- all metals, composites and wood.
Built to Last, Not Load
Aluminum oxide is the mineral of choice for a wide variety of applications on many substrates. It is a long-lived, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges, keeping it sharper longer than many other abrasives. This sheet features an open coat aluminum oxide mineral to help reduce loading and deliver longer service life.
Loading occurs when wood or paint dust clogs the surface of the disc and the abrasive points, which can quickly make the disc ineffective. Open coat construction means the abrasive grains are spaced so that dust and debris can collect in the spaces rather than loading the disc. Additionally, the open coat feature provides a more aggressive cut than a comparable closed coat abrasive of the same grade, for faster results.
