Our 3M™ Aerospace Sealant AC-370 is a family of Class B, quick-curing polysulfide fuel tank sealants formulated for easy tooling. Their quick cure and low density contribute to faster process times and lower weight. These two-component, manganese dioxide cure sealants have outstanding resistance to aviation fuel and petroleum products common to the aerospace industry.
3M™ Aerospace Sealant AC-370 is a two-component thixotropic paste that is lighter in weight and lower in density than competitive sealants, which saves final aircraft weight. AC-370 is available in a 1/2 hour or 2 hour application life with typical cure times of 7 hours and 10 hours respectively. Its light weight and low density formulation makes it ideal for fuselage and fuel tank sealing applications. We designed this family of sealants to save time through fast cure, and to save weight through its low density formula. Our manganese dioxide cure sealant is also highly resistant to aviation fuel and chemicals common to the aircraft industry.
A Sealant Triple Play — Flexible, Strong, and Time Saving
Applied by injection gun or spatula, 3M™ Aerospace Sealant AC-370 offers superb tooling properties for professional results. The mixed compound forms a thixotropic paste that maintains its flexibility and bond strength on many metal, composite and coated substrates under extremes of temperature, weathering and stress. We add no additional solvents to our formula, which gives you more useable sealant by purchase volume, compared with some competitive sealants. 3M Aerospace Sealant AC-370 can help you save production time from the start because there is little to no shrinkage due to solvent evaporation. We make AC-370 to be less stiff than competitive sealants, so it is easier to mix, apply and tool. All these attributes add up to higher productivity in less time.
