Our Scotch® Repulpable Forms-Splicing Tape 8507 is a specially-engineered tape for forms-splicing with a thin, semi-bleached backing, heat-resistant adhesive and skip-slit for easy separation; it's all completely repulpable so scrap is never contaminated.
Scotch® Repulpable Forms Splicing Tape 8507 is completely repulpable, which means there’s no need to remove splices from waste, and users can avoid contamination of scrap. This tape has an adhesive that prevents broke contamination from non-repulpable splice material. It meets or exceeds TAPPI UM-213 procedure A and meets specific FDA indirect food additive regulations as described under 21 CFR 176.170 (Components of paper and paperboard in contact with aqueous and fatty food).
Application is simple; dispense the tape and apply firm, even rub-down pressure over the taped area to create the best possible adhesion between the tape and the paper surface. A plastic squeegee or similar tool can help achieve the proper uniform pressure.
Applying Science to Provide Solutions
The Scotch repulpable forms splicing tape 8507 is part of an extensive line of splicing and repulpable tapes that can be used for core starting to roll closing/tabbing and all the splices in-between. Our totally repulpable line offers choices for the dependability you need to keep production at full speed. Backings and adhesives are engineered for optimum strength on every type of splice: flying, overlap, butt and generally purpose.
