3M™ Acrylic Foam Tape 5674 features two acrylic adhesives, one on each side of a 1.14 mm viscoelastic acrylic foam core, designed for attaching trim and parts to TPO, PP and other low-surface-energy substrates without using an adhesion promoter. The foam core provides stress relaxation when exposed to high application loads, and maintains tight bond-line aesthetics under normal conditions.
OEM Attachment Tape for Attaching Parts and Trim to Unpainted LSE Substrates
Designed essentially for "plastic-to-plastic" attachment, our 3M™ Acrylic Foam Tape 5674 (PDF, 100.52 Kb) features a 1.14 mm acrylic foam core with two different adhesives, one on each side. The liner-side adhesive is formulated to deliver high initial tack and final bond strength to low-surface-energy (LSE) substrates, including unpainted TPO and PP, without the use of an adhesion promoter. The non-liner-side adhesive is designed for use with an adhesion promoter on a variety of automotive trim and parts. The viscoelastic foam core is engineered for stress relaxation when exposed to high stress loads, and maintains bondline aesthetics under normal stress loads. The inconspicuous gray color of 3M™ Acrylic Foam Tape 5674 helps to ensure good bond-line appearance. A red liner is silicone-coated to help ensure easy, smooth application.
