3M™ Finesse-It™ SRC Machine Polish is formulated as part of a full system to remove defects from scratch resistant clear coats (SRC) in collision repair. When used with 3M fine grade finishing discs and soft interface pads, this polish removes microfine scratches and light oxidation from tough OEM clear coats and fully cured paints, restoring shine and clarity to finished automotive surfaces.

Restoring Scratch-Resistant Clear is Easier than You Think
When scratch resistant OEM clear coat develops swirl marks and starts to fade, our 3M™ Finesse-It™ SRC Machine Polish is a large part of bringing it back to its former luster. This polish, for use with ultrafine 3M abrasive discs and soft interface pads, is formulated specifically to remove minor scratches and light oxidation on O.E.M. and fully cured automotive paints. The polish contains aluminum oxide, a common mineral abrasive, and can remove microfine sand scratches up to grade 1500 as well as swirl marks and light oxidation from SRC.

For best results during spot repair on OEM clear coats, use Finesse-It™ SRC Machine Polish with our Hookit™ Finishing Disc grade P1500 for removing defects and our 3M™ Trizact™ Hookit™ Foam Disc grade 3000 for scratch refinement. Technicians should also use soft interface pads in any SRC application.
