Tackle Hard-to-Reach Areas
Scotch-Brite™ Coating Removal Disc Pack 914CS contains a 4 inch diameter disc that can be used with a right angle grinder featuring a 5/8-11 shaft. The small diameter of this disc makes it a good match for small to mid-size workpieces and hard-to-reach areas. This disc is made with silicon carbide mineral and is color coded black to indicate it's aggressive grade.
Benefits of Open Web Abrasives
Nonwoven technology makes our Scotch-Brite™ abrasives unique. We intersperse abrasive mineral on synthetic fibers using resin creating a open web construction. Spaces between the fibers permit excess material to escape, so the mineral does not get worn down by debris. It keeps the mineral cutting sharper longer, enhancing cut performance and increasing abrasive service life. The spring-like nature of the fibers works well on contours and responds to subtleties on the surface. Its responsive design effectively removes unwanted burrs, soils and contaminants without ruining the base material, so you get a consistent and uniform finish part after part.
A Versatile Attachment
Our Scotch-Brite™ Coating Removal Disc Packs are a good option for operators who need an abrasive disc as well as a hook-and-loop backing pad. Hook-and-loop feature makes disc attachment, removal, and re-attachment easy and facilitates use and re-use of the disc for the extent of the abrasive life. This disc pad has J-shaped hooks of the type most commonly used in everyday hook-and-loop applications. This system is designed for work spaces where adhesive backed discs may become contaminated by dust, dirt, or flying debris.
