3M™ 5420 Series Molded Rubber QS II Splice Kit is a 3 piece inline splice designed to use on 25/28 kV jacketed concentric neutral (JCN) or concentric neutral (CN) cables. A versatile design handles cables with a wide range of sizes and diameters. It is perfect for indoor and outdoor usage including direct burial, aerial and submersible applications.

3M™ 5420 Series Molded Rubber QS II Splice Kit includes 2 molded conductive rubber end caps, 2 packets of silicone grease, a vinyl tape roll and an instruction sheet. It is suitable to use on cables that can withstand a maximum temperature of 90 °C. The splice is molded from specially formulated, peroxide cured EPDM rubbers. The continuous current rating of each splice is the same as the current rating of the cable that it is sized to accommodate. The jacketing kit is needed for JCN cable. The kit meets the requirements of IEEE 404 standards for cable joints.
