    The face side is coated with 2.8 mil of 3M™ Adhesive 300LSE, which delivers high bond strength to a range of similar and dissimilar surfaces including plastics, metals, glass, paint and paper. The back side features 3.4 mil of 3M™ Adhesive 300MP, excellent for bonding foams, fabrics, and plastics. Both adhesives provide excellent temperature resistance.

    Bonds to a Very Broad Range of Surfaces
    3M™ Double Coated Tape 9490LE is a 6.7 mil differential double coated tape that provides high bond strength to most surfaces, including foams, fabrics, high surface energy (HSE) plastics and low surface energy (LSE) plastics such as polypropylene and powder coated paints. This tape features a .5 mil polyester film carrier which delivers excellent handling during processing such as slitting, die-cutting and laminating. The face side is coated with 2.8 mil of 3M™ Adhesive 300MP, excellent for bonding foams, fabrics and plastics. The back side features 2.3 mil of 3M™ Laminating Adhesive 300LSE, which delivers high bond strength to a range of similar and dissimilar surfaces including plastics, metals, glass, paint and paper. Both adhesives provide excellent temperature resistance.

    A 4.2 mil, 58-lb. polycoated kraft liner adds stability for efficient processing such as die-cutting.

    About Adhesive 300SLE
    3M™ High Strength Acrylic Adhesive 300LSE is an acrylic adhesive designed to provide very high bond strength to most surfaces, including a wide variety of similar and dissimilar materials. This includes most plastics, metals, glass, papers and painted surfaces. It features good chemical, solvent, moisture and humidity resistance. This adhesive can perform at temperatures ranging up to 300°F/148°C.

    About Adhesive 300MP
    3M™ Adhesive 300MP bonds to a variety of substrates including foams and high surface energy (HSE) and low surface energy (LSE) plastics. This high-tack acrylic adhesive system features high initial adhesion and excellent humidity, water, solvent, chemical and UV resistance.  This acrylic adhesive has been tested to ASTM procedures for peel adhesion, shear strength, moisture stability and resistance to humidity and UV. It resists short term temperatures of up to 250°F/121°C., and the applied adhesive performs well in temperatures as low as -40°F/C.

    About Double Coated Tapes
    In general, double coated tape is composed of a paper, film or tissue carrier that is coated on both sides with pressure sensitive adhesive. The adhesive is protected by a peel-away liner that can be removed at the time of application or left in place until the joining surfaces are ready to be attached. These tapes can be applied by hand or with a dispenser. Double coated tape dispensers are available in a variety of configurations ranging from manual to fully automatic. Applications for double coated tape are found in construction, fabrication, arts and hobbies.
