Tabbing and splicing are critical, as are doing them quickly and reliably without interrupting production.

Product categories

From the tab that starts the roll on the core to the one that closes it at the end, plus all the splices to connect rolls together, you need tapes that stick reliably without slowing production. 3M Splicing and Tabbing Tapes offer a variety of backings and adhesives engineered for optimum strength on every type of splice: flying, overlap, butt and general purpose.

Single-sided Splicing Tapes

Single-sided splicing tapes have adhesive on one side for simple overlap and butt splices and are also used for tabbing at the core and the end of the roll.
Double-sided Splicing Tapes

Double-sided splicing tapes have adhesive on both sides so the tape itself is sandwiched between the overlapping layers it’s splicing together.
Splittable Flying Splice Tape

A split liner that removes in two pieces allows you to make a simple straight-across flying splice and eliminate complicated ‘V’ and ‘W’ shapes.
Dispensers

Keep tape right where you need it with a mountable or tabletop dispenser, including options that dispense a pre-set length of tape each time.
