These properties are in high demand in numerous market segments such as power generation, commercial vehicle, EV, aerospace, chemical processing, oil & gas, mining and general industry. 3M™ Sintered Silicon Nitride is one material grade of our high-performance technical ceramic family. 3M™ Sintered Silicon Nitride is a lightweight, high-strength ceramic material used as an alternative to stainless steel, super alloys, tungsten carbides and first-generation ceramics such as Al03 and ZrO2.
3M™ Sintered Silicon Nitride is capable to provide a high degree of design freedom, to eliminate or reduce the need for hard machining. Components requiring close tolerances can be finish machined in our fully equipped precision diamond grinding facility.
