Liliana Torres Ajalla

As a nurse oncologist at a leading cancer care and research institute, Liliana played an important role in the novel transition to the use of antimicrobial dressings in all central venous catheters of transplant patients when a bone marrow transplant service was opened as an alternative to cancer treatment in 2012.

Liliana demonstrated leadership and dedication while defending the best practices in the reduction of infections and transplant management, and promoting and implementing new standards to improve patient care and prevent infections. Her motto is "zero complications, zero infections".
