As a registered nurse with more than 30 years of experience, Lisa Stamper is passionate about infection prevention, best practices and safety initiatives that improve patient care. In her current role as director of infection prevention and control, her team recently achieved success in significantly reducing central line-associated bloodstream infections (CLABSIs).
During the Ebola crisis, Lisa and her team of infection preventionists worked tirelessly to provide care for patients while also protecting each member of the care team. She was extremely impressed with their abilities in a stressful and dangerous situation, and she’s proud to work alongside them every single day.
Lisa continues to improve vascular care through her leadership inside and outside of her facility, serving as a board member for the local chapter of a major infection prevention organization.
