    Gradient line

As an advocate for improving vascular care for patients at one of the most influential pediatric facilities in the United States, Darcy Doellman elevates vascular access practice through her steadfast determination and innovative spirit. Most notably, she was the lead author of the pediatric central venous catheter (CVC) maintenance bundles, and a co-author the 2016 Infusion Therapy Standards of Practice.

Darcy is also passionate about education and mentorship, facilitating courses on pediatric intravenous skills and peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) insertions across the country. As a thought leader, Darcy's research on pediatric vascular access care is widely published in prominent peer reviewed journals.

In addition to her success in pediatric vascular care, Darcy's most well-known endeavor is assisting with the successful placement of a midline catheter in Fiona, a pre-mature hippo born at the Cincinnati Zoo.
