    Not all NPWT devices are the same - V.A.C.® Therapy

    V.A.C.® Therapy is the only negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) device engineered with technology that maintains and adjusts to deliver set pressure at the wound site. SENSAT.R.A.C.™ Technology provides confidence that the programmed negative pressure is being maintained.

    This technology can detect blockages and notify clinicians, force air into the system to reduce blockages and sense pressure changes to the wound site. It can also adjust as conditions change and draw exudate away from the wound.

    Manage wounds with the power of a disposable, mechanically powered NPWT system. The SNAP™ Therapy System combines the simplicity of advanced wound dressings with the benefits of negative pressure therapy in a discreet design that won’t get noticed.

    This small and silent system minimizes interference with sleep and activity, allowing patients mobility while managing their wounds. It’s available off the shelf, is fast and easy for physicians to apply and provides quick sealing to uneven skin or body contours.

    Specific indications, contraindications, warnings, precautions and safety information exist for KCI products and therapies. Healthcare providers should review the product User Manual, Safety Information and/or Instructions for Use prior to application.

  • Patient’s first and last name (if required for invoice processing)
  • Patient’s room number
  • Patient’s floor
  • PO# (if required)
  • Dressings, canisters or other disposables that you may need but do not have in inventory
Discontinue an order

When V.A.C.® Therapy is discontinued by the physician, please visit 3M Express® or call 1-800-275-4524 the same day (or next business day at the latest) and tell Customer Service that V.A.C.® Therapy is discontinued and the billing will stop.

  • When calling to discontinue, let Customer Service know where you’d like the service center to pick up the used unit (unless UPS call tag is issued).
  • If your patient is being discharged and still needs to be on V.A.C.® Therapy, do not send the patient home on the in-patient V.A.C® Therapy unit. The in-patient V.A.C.® Therapy unit must be discontinued and a home therapy unit delivered.
  • If you fail to call and discontinue the same day (or next business day at the latest), your facility will continue to be billed for V.A.C.® Therapy until you call and stop the order. A credit will not be issued
