Physician payment models - Understanding MIPS and APMs

Cheryl Manchenton, RN, BSN, CCDS, CPHM
Samuel Young, MD, MBA, FACS, CPE, CHCQM, CRC

March 18 & 20, 2020

  • Over the last few years, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) began requiring all eligible providers to participate in the Quality Payment Program (QPP) or face financial reimbursement penalties. The QPP outlines two paths for provider participation: the merit-based, incentive payment system (MIPS) and the advanced alternative payment models (APMs).

Join us on March 18 or March 20, as 3M experts Cheryl Manchenton and Dr. Samuel Young explore each path, pointing out the differences and financial implications of each. Plus, Dr. Young will discuss proposed alternative payment models. By the end of the webinar, you’ll walk away with a better understanding of the risks and rewards of each model for your organization.
