Interfacing your systems to 3M products
3M interface software enables the exchange of data between 3M Health Information Systems products and other hospital data systems, vendor systems, and agencies.
3M offers two type of interface software:
- 3M™ Connections Software (PDF, 156.11 KB)
- 3M™ Connections Plus Software (PDF, 206.97 KB) to interface with 3M™ Health Data Management (HDM) System

3M hosted interface development environment
A 3M-hosted development environment is provided for 3M business partners who use the 3M Connections Software. The hosted environment helps vendors develop and test an interface, but does not affect or require changes to the end-user configuration.
The hosted environment includes:
- 3M software updates
- Current version of the product
- Test environment for pre-release testing
