3M Food Safety helps safeguard your business, mitigate risk, and protect consumers with a broad range of testing solutions.
The 3M™ Molecular Detection System now offer two new assays to the testing portfolio; 3M™ Molecular Detection Assay 2 – STEC Gene Screen (stx and eae) and 3M™ Molecular Detection Assay 2 - STEC Gene Screen (stx). These two assays allow for the rapid and specific detection of Shiga toxin gene (stx1 and/or stx2), with the additional option of intimin gene (eae), from Shiga toxin-producing E. coli.

Launched in February 2018, the new 3M™ Petrifilm™ Rapid E. coli/Coliform Count Plate, a two-in-one indicator test, gives customers both an E. coli and total coliform count in 18-24 hours, enabling food processors to release their products from inventory faster.
Poultry processing facilities are consistently looking for ways to manage their resources and stay within budget. Read how 3M’s molecular methods for foodborne pathogen detection reduce the time-to-result of food testing.
Establishing controlled food safety systems is becoming increasingly vital. One of the most interesting case examples can be seen in the poultry industry in Colombia.
