Wrapped Cable Insulation

Flame resistance, good insulation, excellent dielectric properties, broad chemical resistance and thermal stability are all critical properties to consider when selecting materials to make the best wrapped cables. Wrapped cables utilizing unsintered PTFE tape insulation are widely used as equipment wire and multi-core cables for high-end applications, such as aerospace. Made from 3M™ Dyneon™ PTFE Fine Powder, unsintered PTFE tape is helically wrapped and then sintered to form an impervious PTFE insulation.
