The ScotchBlue™ Painter’s Tape Applicator applies painter’s tape in one continuous strip, with an easy-to-hold circular grip and a felt pad that gently glides across surfaces. Plastic rollers tightly seal the tape to a variety of surfaces. Great for use on trim, baseboards, windows and door frames. And the sharp blade provides a straight, precise cut.

- Tape Application Tips: For great paint results make sure the surface is clean, dry and dust-free so that the tape sticks properly. Next, secure tape and slide along the surface while pressing down with finger to seal as you go. And lastly, let the tape set for about 30 to 60 minutes before painting
- Tape Removal Tips: Wait until the paint is dry to the touch before removing the tape. Lift the tape up by slowly pulling it back on itself, then removing at a 45-degree angle
- How to Reload Tape: Twist Applicator to unlock and pull apart to open. Load tape, then close and twist to lock

Not too helpful for old houses
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a nice idea in theory but it doesn't work as well in my old house where walls and surfaces are not perfect smooth lines. It's easier just to apply with my hands to work around the bumps and grooves.

I bought it not expecting much - Surprise!
It seemed easy and smart, and we joked it was a gimmick. But it worked! when you have 16 feet long walls, its a bear to get the tape straight! Anyway, Didn't expect much. It was tricky to get started (Like others,the roll that came with it was backwards lol) Once I flipped the roll, and then after a practice run, it was ON! It is important to really press down the starting point or it will pull back off, and annoy you.
I also found that sliding a plastic scraper behind me, helped really seal it down. It's very important to SEAL it down, the roller only places it. I wish it did have a tensioner to do that while you roll...
Took about twenty or thirty minutes (including one roll change) to tape 400 SF room with three door frames. not too shabby! Inward corners are not easy with it, but in short order, you learn how to just pull a little extra and dress the corners by hand. All in all, it saved me time, tape and effort!

Excellent Product!

Awesome!

nice paint tape applicator
This applicator works just as advertised. The problem is that 3M/Scotch does not make a delicate paint tape in the 1.41 in width. I found that the standard and trim/baseboard painters tape would peel the paint off of the wall if you used it on the wall. Other than that it works great, just be careful of the tape on the wall.
