Rated 2 out of 5 by from soapy soap The new replacement sponges with the hole just makes a big mess when you try to refill the wand. The soap leaks out and is a waste. Liked the older refills without the hole!!!!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from New Design is Awful I have been using this dishwashing wand forever but won’t be anymore. I’m not sure why they decided to put a large hole in the sponge? WAY too much dish soap is disbursed! It was great the way it was. Why change it? I guess I’ll have to check out other brands to avoid my dish soap costs going down the drain (literally)!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sponges with holes in the middle Dear Scotch-Brite staff, your new sponges with the holes in the middle are not well designed. If you fill up the dish wand with soap it all falls out of the middle and drips everywhere. Maybe you could move the hole up towards the top of the sponge, or just go back to the original design.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from IF IT AINT BROKE DON"T FIX IT! Advanced Soap Control, really? S-B Social Care, you cannot be serious! The day I bought the redesigned refills and replaced the worn-out old style one, the glaring defect was immediately apparent as I watched the soap pore out of the hole on my first attempt to use it. I thought about just tossing it in the garbage but before I did that a possible band-aid fix came to mind. I retrieved the head I just replaced from the trash and cut a chunk of sponge material from it to use to plug the hole in the new refill. That is by no means a perfect fix but it was all I could think of at the time and it does help. But why am needing to suggest a fix for a product that was great until the manufacturer “improved” it? This is a case where just a minimal amount of product testing prior to mass-production would have gone a long way The other thing they screwed up is the scraper. The old one was wider, and the edge was flat, not rounded. Flat like, say for instance, the cooking surface of a skillet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible modification It's really hard to understand how a company like 3M Scoth-Brite could allow the release of such a hopeless modification. Soap just pours through the huge hole they have, for some reason, introduced into the pad. What a waste of soap and, of course, people are so used to the old pads that when they lay the Dishwand down forgetting about the ridiculous modification they come back to an empty handled Dishwand. If you want to accidentally pour unused soap down the drain, this is the product for you! Great for the environment, I'm sure (sarcastic). What has surprised me is how this product modification ever made it through the first phase of product testing, let alone consumer trials and feedback. This has forever tarnished my view of 3M's reputation and their brand Scotch-Brite. As an engineer such an error being carried through to the retail shelves is unfathomable, how did everyone miss this obvious flaw???

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hole in sponge!! I just recently had to buy the new style head for my dish wand and it is completely awful!! I have wasted/lost more Dawn dish soap than I use washing my dishes. It leaks all over the place and usually leaks all of my soap out. If the old style will not be available anymore I will change to a different wand! These new sponges r triple p00p00!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaky design! I have been using Scotch-Brite dish wands for a long time and recently began to experience soap leakage. Soap will occasionally leak out of the wand base but consistently leaks out of the sponge while it’s being stored between uses. Soap pools in the holder that I have for the dish wand. I thought that maybe I had purchased a bad batch for my refills so I bought more and experienced the same issue.
