Quality is LOST.........
I have used Scotch Brite heavy duty pads for MANY years !! They used to last along time for a family of four's dish washing by hand !! About the last five years, they have changed & I'm lucky to us them 6 times doing dishes for two people !!
I am NOT happy with this product any longer !!!! :={

A new use for this pad
I have used these pads for as long as I can remember. But I found a new use for them quite by accident. I usually wash them in my dishwasher silverware holder.
As you know, the holders are known to break parts out of the bottom quite often. I tried to find a repair kit and couldn't. I did find where I could buy a new one for $46.00.
My husband tried weaving a heavy wire in the bottom to support the silverware. This didn't work well and to tell the truth was causing more trouble than the broken parts.
I decided to cut the pad in squares to fit in the bottom of each part of the holder. I thought I would test this and see how it worked.
It worked GREAT! I have used it for at least 20 washes and it still looks new. It doesn't get dirty, due the dishwasher keeping it clean. AND now, I can put my silverware in the holder without worrying about the knives falling through the wholes, or the spoons/forks falling thru the bottom. I can highly recommend that you use this trick or tip to not only save money, but to make your dishwasher loading a lot easier.

Do not use on Chrome
Used it to remove water marks on shower mixer valve and ended up scuffing the surface. Beware!

good scrubies
Back in the day...I was asked to baby sit for a next door neighbor...both parents worked so I did the dishes. I have been using this same exact heavy duty scotch brite ever since,and I was eleven years old ... I am now 55... never use anything else.

These things are just great! Not just for pots and pans. During summer, I rub my heels, then rub heels with lotion. Softer! They last depending on how often I use them...but, sticky build up on pans gets scratched off quickly. Dependable product. :)

Used to be great. What did you do?!?!?
I've been using these to scrub pots and pans for decades. It's always left my cookware clean and shiny. The past couple of years it hasn't been working as effectively. What changed?!?!? Please change it back.
