Mildew maker!
Have used Scotch Brite sponges for years with great satisfaction. I recently bought a 6 package of the “Green” sponges made with agave and plant based fiber only to find they developed a strong mildew odor immediately (one within hours of initial use) tried disinfection in dishwasher, no luck. I will not purchase this product again.

Green maybe,but stinky

Awesome scrubber
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought a new place and I knew it would need a cleaning eventhough it looked clean when we walked in. I wanted to be sure that it was clean by my standards. I bought 2 of these, one for the bathroom and one for the kitchen. I scrutinized them in the store because I wanted to know how good they could be coming from 'natural products'. They seemed so much softer than regular scrubbing sponges but I really like there performance. They have scratched nothing yet. I was careful too because the bathroom sink/vanity is painted, so I have to be careful when scrubbing it. I'm highly satisfied, have not yet cleaned them in the dishwasher to see how that goes, but will soon.

After washing in dishwasher sponge never seemed to really dry and retained an odor that was so bad I had to throw sponges away after only two weeks of using three sponges. Also the side used for scrubbing did not seem to be very effective. Will buy again if product is reworked to be more effective because the idea of an eco-friendly sponge is excellent.
