Peltor™ Sport Tactical 500 Electronic Hearing Protector, 1/Pack is rated 2.6 out of 5 by 33.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Same problem as others I got about two years worth of wear from these before the same headband problem occurred. One clip broke and about a week later the other broke. I tried repairing them with duck tape, but to no avail. If duck tape won't fix it, it's a pretty serious design flaw. Ironically, I paid the hefty price these commanded because I thought if I paid that much for them, they would surely last a long time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broken at the same place as shown on other reviews I liked this electronic hearing protection unit right up until the moment it broke - and I have worn them less than 20 times. They broke in exactly the same place many of the other reviewers have reported problems. The wire mount for the ear cup puts enough pressure on the plastic connecting piece to the head band that a tab breaks and the cup no longer seals against the side of your head. This is a very poor design.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Headband broke EXACTLY like all the others! I logged on here because these were GREAT, right up until the headband broke at EXACTLY the same spot as everyone else as listed in these reviews. Design flaw... These are EXPENSIVE! and that is such a cheap plastic tab that breaks. Very unhappy

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Really liked them till the headband broke!!! I bought these when they first came out to use at the range and while riding on my lawn mower. I was happy with the noise reduction and the Bluetooth features right up until my headband broke. I am having the same issues as others except both my right and left side broke making these headphone worthless/unusable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Headband and Earmuff Mount Design I bought this product 2/21/18. I wear these daily in an Fabrication Facility. I was really dissatisfied with the comfort of the Headband and ear cups. Ordered aftermarket products to subdue these issues. In November after wearing these for 40+ hours a week the mounts for the Ear Muffs failed. And have gotten progressively worse over time. Now they are to the point where it doesn't hold pressure on to your head. I wish you had replacement parts available for the ear muffs mounts

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Does as expected but not totally I am currently on my 2nd set. The first set had the little black band spacer missing and headband seam open. As a shooting headset, it does what it says. Music plays well since I use them at work (shop floor of aviation company). What I dislike is the phone call "feature." Neither of the two sets can hold a call longer than 2 minutes before dropping audio (audio completely shuts down but headset doesn't turn off) requiring use of the phone speaker function. More often than not, this occurs within 30 seconds of attempting to talk using the headset. Don't advertise a function that either needs certain things to happen before working or doesn't work at all. Headset is fed industrial Duracell batteries and constant use gives me about 1 1/2 days of use.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Designed to fail The Good: The sound suppression, Bluetooth, etc work well. Good battery life, voice notifications on status changes (on, off, Bluetooth connect, low battery.) The Meh: Comfort needs improvement. Spring for the HY80 Peltor Camelback Gel Sealing Rings. Don't even try the original ones. Note that even these take some custom fit work. The headband will wear you out. Get a headband cover. The Bad: They're fine for occasional use, but a couple times a week (for 18 months for me), they're gonna break. In the attached photo The Cap holds the wire frame to the headband. The frame pushes up on the bottom and pushes down on a plastic tab in the cap. This keeps the ear cup from swinging all the way out and allows the headband to press the ear cup to your head. Eventually, that plastic tab will will bust out. The wire frame will then push on the underlying headband base. This force now will split the cap off the base, breaking two tabs on the base under that cap. (These tabs are not structural but provided dampening on the ear cup movement.) The ear cup will then swing all the way out and compromise the seal. Enough epoxy and they can be saved. It's just more time and effort into making, and keeping, these useful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Huge head, great fit 7 5/8 inch hat size, fits great. Cut out on top for baseball cap button. Vocals come through crisp, Bluetooth music comes through great (and volume for music is controlled by your phone, separate from environmental noises picked up by the mic). I’ve always had a problem with ear muffs lifting up when I turned my head. These make a nice tight seal and don’t do that. Definitely worth the upgrade over the $40 HL earmuffs, no question.
