Peltor™ Sport Tactical 500 Electronic Hearing Protector, 1/Pack is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 91.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not sure if it’s really worth its price point I’ve owned these for well over a year. I use them anytime I’m shooting and doing lawn work (weedeating, leaf blower, etc.). Pros: - Excellent dynamic noise suppression - Comfortable (after you put the gel cups on) - Great quality - Bluetooth Cons: - No volume knob (I wish I could determine the volume) - Pricey - Bulky - Bluetooth isn’t very loud

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far, so good I love the fit and the quality..so far. BUT>>> This is an expensive piece of equipment. You would think that Peltor would market a decent hard case to carry and protect them, rather than a simple cloth bag. Yes, there are several after market hard cases, all with little bitty straps. Come on, these are shooting earmuffs. Something with a real hand strap and/or maybe some molle webbing to attach it to range bag. I know that sporting muffs are not 3M's primary focus but a real case for all their earmuff would be nice

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent ear pro, worth the price I shoot firearms frequently and have ear pro on for a long duration when I shoot. I've gone through at least 8 different sets of electronic ears and this is by far the best. Pros: very comfortable, excellent noise reduction, great clarity of non-muted sounds, rechargeable battery holds charge for long periods and operates for long periods while in use. Simple, easy to use controls. The bluetooth feature is just gravy. Cons: on the bulky side. If you have problems shooting rifles with large ear pro this wont be for you. If you are using ear pro for tactical shooting/ops this is probably too bulky.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for shooting indoors or out My GF gave me these for Christmas. have been using now for about 5 months, and really like how the headphones suppress gunshots while allowing a conversation to happen when not shooting without removing the headset. Excellent quality product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fell apart in 3 months These worked great for 3 months and then they fell apart. I'm a USAF retired veteran (AFSC 2A617A "Jet Engine Specialist") who has used aIl kinds of hearing protection throughout my career. I bought these for my current job testing Jet Engines at a test facility that requires hearing protection. I thought these were a major upgrade with the new technology that we currently have but I was wrong. I have the same issue that everyone else is having. Mine broke around the earpiece on both side These things break way too easy for a 3M product. Very disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Power button failure I wouldn't have expected this one. They work fine, when they can be turned on. They've decided to now turn on intermittently.. Not really acceptable at the range. I've been using these with my MantisX with great success at the range, then.. the headphones have decided that they only want to turn on some of the time. Not good..

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome product that does what it needs to do These hearing protectors do exactly what they need to do by protecting my hearing at the gun range. They are comfortable to wear for the short term (I have not worn them longer than an hour or so) and effective. I did not use the bluetooth to stream music or make calls at the range, because frankly, I don't want to be distracted, but it is a cool feature to have on these hearing protectors.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Re: Below Average Product at an Expensive Price I was hesitant to purchase this product because I felt it was overpriced. Nevertheless, I took a chance because I needed an electronic hearing protector device for the gun range. So, due to the fact that the 3-M Company name was associated with this product, I took a chance. Sadly, I'm rather disappointed. While it does block out higher decibel gunshots at the range, the sound through the audio input is very distorted, and of poor fidelity. I've tried the audio input on a number of electronic devices, including my home stereo, which is a very high-end model, but the Peltor Sport Tactical 500 Hearing Protector still performed very poorly. Secondly--and of equal, or greater, importance--after wearing the Peltor Sport Tactical 500 Hearing Protector for approximately one (1) hour, it felt as though my head was in a huge vise. The Manual states: "Fully extend sliders and place cups over ears. Then, tighten headband using sliders." Unless I'm totally missing something, the Peltor Sport Tactical 500 Hearing Protector is NOT adjustable. Simply put, I do not see how the sliders can be adjusted. It appears as though the sliders are held in place by two (2) Phillips head screws on each side. I'm very mechanically and technically competent, so I don't believe I've overlooked anything. And I don't want to over-stress the so-called "sliders." I just don't believe that these "sliders" actually slide. I'm disappointed with the sparse Owner's Manual, the poor quality of the audio sound through an audio cable (I've even tried three [3] additional audio cables, to no avail), the non-adjustable “sliders,” and the overall cheapness of the Unit. I'm going to be returning the Peltor Sport Tactical 500 Hearing Protector Unit to Amazon—and none too soon. C'mon Amazon, let's stop marketing and selling inferior products, and let's quit teaming with companies that "hawk their wares" through your company. I truly believe that you can sell a much, much better Electronic Hearing Protector than the Peltor Sport Tactical 500 Hearing Protector. Disappointed in the Heart of Dixie.
