Mirror Buttons with 3M™ Structural Bonding Tape are a permanent solution for attaching rear view mirrors to automotive glass. 3M™ Structural Bonding Tapes can withstand limited exposure to ambient temperatures without affecting the performance. Mirror Buttons with 3M™ Structural Bonding Tape are customized and developed jointly by 3M and the OEM or Tier design studio for a particular model.

Strength and Efficiency
3M™ Structural Bonding Tapes (SBT), the adhesive used with these Mirror Buttons, are formulated for bonding hardware components to glass, such as rear view mirror components, sensor brackets and mounting pins. 3M SBT is applied as a pressure-sensitive tape and then is heat-cured to develop semi-structural strength. It also has excellent holding strength and includes applications for heavier mirrors and multifunction sensors. The tape's resistance to hot, humid environments gives it excellent image stability and reduces reflected image distortion from vehicle vibrations.

3M™ Structural Bonding Tapes (SBT), the adhesive used with these Mirror Buttons, are formulated for bonding hardware components to glass, such as rear view mirror components, sensor brackets and mounting pins.
