Key findings from a survey of 650 infection preventionists and clinicians.
To continue to support clinicians in their fight against healthcare-associated infections (HAIs), 3M wanted to gain a better understanding of beliefs and perceptions they hold about the current reality and future potential of infection prevention.
As a result, 3M commissioned a third-party research firm to conduct a survey of 650 U.S. infection preventionists and clinicians about their attitudes and beliefs about infection prevention trends, challenges, and best practices.
3M is hosting a series of educational events to discuss the survey findings. Attend our July 11th webinar, hosted by Pat Parks, MD, PhD, Medical Director, 3M Medical Solutions, to learn what clinicians had to say about the key barriers to effective infection prevention.
51% of infection preventionists say lack of adopting new technology and processes and insufficient support from senior leadership are key barriers to preventing infections.¹
50% believe there is poor compliance with infection prevention protocols.¹
1/3 of clinicians surveyed believed infections can be avoided when providing healthcare.¹
The Infusion Nurses Society recently revised its Infusion Nursing Standards of Practice. Lisa Gorski, chair of both the 2011 and 2016 INS Standards of Practice Committees, presents a two-part program to help update clinicians on the changes.
We can help you deliver compassionate care with evidence-based products that help protect clinicians and patients, prevent complications and improve patient outcomes.
