Attachment Options
Description
The COMPLY™ Attachment System allows you to quickly and easily switch from world-class privacy to screen sharing with one simple flip. Your application directions will vary depending on your device type and your privacy filter. Scroll down to find the COMPLY™ Attachment System that matches the one in your package.
How to Apply
Note: Your COMPLY™ Attachment System comes with two hinges. Each hinge has a clear adhesive end and a black adhesive end. You will attach the clear end to your privacy filter and the black end to your laptop bezel.
1. Attach hinges to your privacy filter
- Remove the liner covering the clear end of the first hinge
- Apply the exposed adhesive to the top front side of the privacy filter, about an inch from the right edge. Be sure to align the black end of the hinge with the top of the filter
- Repeat to apply the second hinge to the left side
2. Attach privacy filter to your laptop
- Remove the liner on the black end of the hinge
- Place the filter within the raised bezel of your laptop, with the black end over the top bezel
- Firmly press to adhere
3. Apply optional quick-grab side tab
- This optional side tab makes it easy to flip from world-class privacy to screen sharing without leaving fingerprints
- Remove the liner on the side tab and adhere to the back side of the privacy filter on either the right or left side
Apply optically clear Attachment Strips directly to the filter before attaching the filter to the device display. The strips are washable and removable so you can remove and reattach the filter.
Installation and care
Cleaning is Easy
3M™ Privacy and Protection Products can be cleaned again and again without compromising screen clarity or effectiveness.
- Remove the filter from your device.
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth moistened with water to wipe away any fingerprints, smudges and soil.
- Make sure the filter is dry, and then reattach it to your screen.
Slide Mount Tabs easily attach to the side of the display and stay in place, allowing you to slide the filter on and off the screen as needed.

Step 1: Determine Screen Type
First, determine if your device has a raised bezel or a flat front glass screen.
Raised Bezel
These screens have a raised frame around the edges.
Flat Front Glass
These screens have edge-to-edge glass without a raised frame. -
Step 2: Measure Your Screen
Next, measure your screen according to the screen type you have.
Raised Bezel
Measure the height (h) and width (w) of the screen's viewable area making sure to measure within the bezel.
Flat Front Glass
Measure the height (h) and width (w) of the entire glass display making sure to measure all the way from edge-to-edge. -
