3M electrical end caps seal cable ends, providing reliable protection from environmental damage (i.e. moisture, contamination, corrosion, ozone, ultra-violet and radiation). Available in cold and heat shrink variants, 3M electrical end caps protect exposed cable ends without the use of mastics or tapes.
Heat shrink end caps are typically used to seal cable ends and provide mechanical and environmental protection. Heat Shrink End Caps provide a permanent, flexible and water-resistant barrier, sealing cable ends and providing reliable protection. When heated above 121 ºC (250 ºF) the end caps shrink, forcing melted adhesive to cover the substrate. The adhesive forms a flexible bond with a wide variety of rubbers, plastics and metals. Adhesive reflow will occur at temperatures above 80ºC (176ºF).
