Dyneon PTFE offers outstanding resistance to wear, dirt, heat and flame. When applied to glass fabrics, Dyneon PTFE coatings also offer good light transmission and allow free-form design, even for large span widths. The resulting coated or impregnated fabric can be used for roofing, domes, tents or other architectural membranes that not only withstand rough weather, but are also virtually self-cleaning.
The high chemical and thermal resistance of PTFE, in addition to its low coefficient of friction, make it an excellent material for corrosion resistant equipment in chemical processing plants. Dyneon PTFE can be used for seals, valves, pumps and other components, or to coat or line vessels and pipes.
Dyneon PTFE offers exceptional dielectric strength, low dielectric loss, thermal stability and flame resistance. This combination of properties makes it useful for a number of electronic and electrical applications from high-performance wire and cable insulation to gas diffusion layers for fuel cells.
High purity Dyneon TFM PTFE has extremely low levels of anions and metal extractables, helping prevent contamination. It yields ultra-smoothed finished-part surfaces, allowing easy cleaning and rinsing as well as fast drying. Dyneon PTFE is used in the manufacture of chemical resistant etch basins and large wafer carriers.
